The Program at a Glance
Who: Two Universities,one Research Center and one Medical Center  
Where: Heraklion and Chania, Crete  
When: Applications are now open and close on July 2,2021. Lectures start during the last week of September 2021 
Duration/Credits: 15 Months (90 ECTS) or 24 Months (120 ECTS)  

Biomedical engineers combine engineering principles with medical and biological sciences to design and create equipment, devices, artificial organs, surgical robots etc. to be used in healthcare. Moreover, they are responsible for the maintenance and the calibration of medical systems, they evaluate the safety, efficiency, and effectiveness of biomedical equipment and train clinicians and other personnel on the proper use of biomedical equipment.

Biomedical Engineers are employed by both public and privet medical centers, by universities and research centers and by the medical devise and pharmaceutical industry. Our program’s curriculum is intended to develop a solid background and professional skills in the following modern biomedical engineering subsectors:

Our program maintains a network of collaborating institutions for hosting internships, such as collaborating hospitals and medical device and pharmaceutical manufacturing companies, to provide students with practical applications as part of their study.
